This unofficial design for the EFT-1 mission features the mighty Delta IV Heavy rocket lofting Orion toward its first mission in space. The vehicle is commemorated by both the visual image of the rocket launch and the "Δ4" at the bottom of the design. The orbital objective of the flight is shown around the launch plumes of the three common booster cores and Orion's high-speed re-entry is seen in silhouette. The Moon, Mars and beyond are visible in the shadow of Orion as America looks forward to destinations beyond Earth orbit with this new capsule.
