Backdropped by the starry big Texas sky, the 747-123 rolls toward her final home at Space Center Houston. The colors of the Lone Star State fly proudly from the flight deck, representing the Space City home of the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft and her legacy.
Her previous mission is honored in silhouette, having safely flown six space shuttle orbiters back and forth across the nation for the purposes of testing, operation and display. Those six orbiters are represented in the Big Dipper constellation, along with a seventh star, signifying the new, permanent partner of SCA-905: the newly-renamed shuttle mockup Independence.
