Space Tweep Stowaways Emblem by @Astro95Media

Space Tweep Stowaways

Created: September 2012

Design Summary

Having stowed a list of of friends and family (mostly Space Tweeps) aboard NASA's Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (NASA 905) in Houston during Endeavour's ferry flight to Los Angeles, a friend suggested a simple commemorative emblem for the names that flew aboard the giant Boeing 747. The design was inspired by the STS-8 "Eyes" patch from 1983, with several pairs of eyes peering out the cabin windows of NASA 905, with the tail number of the aircraft just behind. The hashtag for the group sits above, with the name and OV number of her historic passenger and dates for the event below.
